Our  friend,  the  French  activist  Carine Clement has been seriously
attacked in Moscow the 13th of November

Carine is a member of the organisation Convoi syndical. She was one of
the organiser of the Caucasus workshop in the European Social Forum in
Malmö  last  September.  As you remember, after la lot of problem with
the  Swedish organiser, we had to merge our HCA Caucasus workshop with
the  one  proposed  by  Convoi  syndical,  and  it  was  finally quiet
successful.  We  know  Carine  quiet  well.  She  is  has  a very good
knowledge  of  Russian  society and these last years she has been very
active  to  help  Russian  civil  society organisations and especially
Independent trade unionists, homeless people and ecological groups.

Carine had been attacked several time these last days, but it was more
intimidation  than serious physical aggressions; The 13th of December,
as  she  was  going to participate to a public meeting in Moscow , she
was  attacked  by  two  young  men,  who  beat her and injected her an
unknown  product  with a syringe. It tooks two days for her to recover
in  the  hospital.  The  same  day  several  civic  activist have been
attacked,  like  Mikhail Beketov from the newspaper Kimkinskaïa Pravda
(criticaly  injured),  Serguei Fédorov defender of small landowner, or
Alexei   Etmanov  from  the  Ford  independent  trade  union.  We  are
organising a campaign of support to our friend Carine, and through her
case,  a  broad  information  about  these  aggression  against  civic
activists in Russia
