It's a sad day for Turkey....

 

I was just coming back from today's class, and took a look to the newspapers on web. I saw the bad news coming from my country.. Hrant Dink, one of the strongest pens of Turkey was shooted. I couldn't beleive my eyes, I just wanted to cry ...  Racism was on stage once again.. 

 

Now Dink has already passed away, only memories remain...  It was a sad day for Turkey, it was a sad day for democracy of Turkey.. One more defender of democracy in Turkey was silenced just because of his opposite attitude to their bloody official ideology.

 

As I said before, we shouldn't hesitate when we are describing fascism. Yesterday we have seen fascism, racism ... If there will be accomodated "real democracy" into Turkey in one of day, one of the biggest defenders of this won't be able to see it.

 

It's a sad day....   For all of us..

hello everyone,

No need to say, it was one of my worst days in my life. I hope, you saw
thousands of people marching where Dink passed away. I was one of them. I
promise, I will always be one of them.

What we have done together gains much more meaning and importance. We should be
more close up to now, I think.

I hope he will be the last friend assasinated by fascism in the world, but I
know we have to struggle for it.

Dear friends,

I spend last evening in front of the tv, crying and trying to understand. I'm just so sad, and don't know what to say. Yes, it is another example for us to see that we are far back from reaching democracy and human rights. But what is more important is that: He is gone... He was just thinking, deliberating, talking... Just like any human being should do. He was a great thinker, journalist and human right activist. But they couldn't just understand him, they didn't try to.
Words just can't come up to be sentences in my mind. I'm sad, just so sad...
may his soul rest in peace...
